QueenOfZoom Posted June 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Booked on a 01/17/19 sailing out of New Orleans, from the DC area so we scheduled an outbound flight the evening before. Looking for hotel suggestions for the night, not familiar with the area so I guess convenient to the port (?). Two adults, not planning on doing any sight seeing or outings, just dinner and sleep. Thanks!
zounds Posted June 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2018 We've not stayed there, but the Hampton Inn Conv. Ctr. couldn't be more convenient. Do some research.

delaware32 Posted June 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2018 We've stayed at the Crown Plaza. It borders Canal and Bourbon Streets . It's an older hotel but fine . Location made it easy for walking or hopping the street car . We've also stayed at the Renaissance which is about a block away from the Crown Plaza . Location makes walking to a lot places .We also have stayed at the Wyndham on Poydrus . This is a boutique hotel that once was bank. Interesting but the location wasn't as convenient as the others . This year we're trying the Hilton Riverside which is walkable to the Julia Street pier . Street car stops right in front and is convenient to the shopping mall . It has good reviews and we got a terrific deal on Hotwire.

Lynda59 Posted July 7, 2018 #9 Share Posted July 7, 2018 Please also look in the New Orleans section under Ports of Call. There is a lot on hotels and things to do while in New Orleans.

nhraformula00 Posted July 8, 2018 #11 Share Posted July 8, 2018 That's what I ended up booking, have you stayed there? Yes a few years ago, nice hotel. You can walk from the hotel to the Carnival cruise terminal. From the hotel thru the mall then outside on the riverwalk and down to terminal. About 10 min. About a 15 min walk to the french quarter.
