cruisers04 Posted November 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2010 What's your honest opinion? Are capri pants and sandals acceptable for casual nights in the main dining room? Thanks!

GOTTA CRUISE NOW Posted November 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I wear capris on any night but formal. Sandals I will wear anytime, depending on the style... use your judgement. I have seen the rules being broken, not bent recently. T-shirts with innapropriate logos being my main gripe. We had the Maitre 'D THANK us for "dressing" for dinner the last time. When we looked around us, we realized what he was referring to... Again, use your own judgement... ;)
jabberjaw070596 Posted November 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I wore capris with sandals on my first cruise and plan on wearing them again this time except formal dinner nights
GlendaleCruiser Posted November 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I wear capris all the time and they are fine for the MDR except on elegant night. I usually like to wear a little heel with mine, though, just to spruce it up a little.
hazeleyez3 Posted November 12, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Yep. That is primarily what I wear on non-formal nights. Dress it up with nice sandals and a blouse.
LemurCat Posted November 12, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2010 What's your honest opinion? Are capri pants and sandals acceptable for casual nights in the main dining room? Thanks! If shorts are, why wouldn't capris be? (Rhetorical question. Of course they are.)
deeluvs2cruise Posted November 12, 2010 #9 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Most definately, with the exception being formal night.
Sgrgirl20 Posted November 12, 2010 #10 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Of course! I wore capri's with a nice shirt and flip flops one night :)
FlaGrl4Evr Posted November 12, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Yes 100% fine to wear capris. We just returned from our 7 day on the Legend and I wore Capris with a nice top and sandals with a little heel, all evenings with the exception of formal nights and our meal at the Golden Fleece. Believe it or not that was over dressed compared to some others. Go for it and have a great time. BTW, the MDR and shows were a little chilly at night so the light jacket turned out to be a good idea.
blindrid Posted November 12, 2010 #12 Share Posted November 12, 2010 If Capri's were not allowed, my wife would really be SOL. They look nice and I have never had any problems with those that wear them.

LemurCat Posted November 13, 2010 #14 Share Posted November 13, 2010 You are talking about for women - right? If so - then yes! C'mon DC, you know you wanna rock the man-pris. It would be exceedingly European of you.
DryCreek Posted November 13, 2010 #15 Share Posted November 13, 2010 C'mon DC, you know you wanna rock the man-pris. It would be exceedingly European of you. I tend to take the easy route and only polish the toes and heels of my boots. Who wants to spend all that time dressin' up the shaft and cleanin' the stitchin'? I would look fantastic though - providing I can find one of those European Man-Bags (OK, it's a purse dangit!) that matches my boots...
