Weddings at Half Moon Cay???

Hey, does anyone know about whether or not Carnival does weddings at Half Moon Cay???

I tried contacting them, have gotten mixed results, but a cruise critic member says she say a ceremony on the bluff overlooking the beach, which is what I wanted.

Is carnival just giving me a hard time or is it actually possible to be wed there??

Has anyone else had their wedding there, seen one or heard about one???

Maybe try checking with Holland America. I believe technically that is "their" private island. Please post any info you can find.

I am getting married on Half Moon Cay on Sunday, but it is through Holland America. There is a little chapel, but I haven't heard anything about any bluffs.

I can let you know how it goes, but again, I don't know whether Carnival can do this or it is Holland America only.

There is a small bluff that is behind the beach area. (it runs behind the cabanas also) There are open places that make for great photo ops of the ship and water. It would do ok for a small wedding party.

But, the chapel is beautiful! There had been a wedding there the day we stopped. It is open at two ends with a beautiful ivy/flower covered archway outside that faces the ocean. :)

Be careful with these "private island" ports - I commonly hear that the cancellation rate is fairly high relative to other ports (weather / rough water). Be sure to ask about this and contingency plans before you book anything.
