Freedom of the Seas...can I take can soda?

Ok....I keep hearing conflicting stories. Can I take a twelve pack can of soda on board in my checked luggage or not? I did on the Liberty in 2008 with no problem. Anyone just off of Freedom in the past few weeks that did carry on soda? Thanks!!

I think that's going to be hit or miss. I had a couple of bottles in my checked bags, and they arrived safely, but yours might not. ANYTHING is better than their fountain sodas. As people have said on here - in some places the taste of soda is definitely off. Especially in the theater.

You can buy soda by the can, if you don't want to bring it...you don't have to get the soda card (and fountain soda) if you don't want to!

We were on the 3/28/10 sailing. Although we didn't take any soda (or anything else) aboard, we did see one gentlemen with a softsided rolling cooler and he got through with no problem.
