Military Lodging - Australia

Has anyone had any experience with military or club lodging in Australia where active duty or retired U.S. military can stay?

Yes, we actually have, but not recently. There is Air Force Accommodation in Coffs harbour and the Gold Coast and it is quite good.

Perhaps if you could get copies of Air Force, Navy or Army News they might have details. I think (but not sure) you can access these on line!:)

If you go to the link below ..... even though it doesn't list overseas personnel as eligible ...... you could contact them and they could guide you in the right direction ...... on this site is also links for RAAF & RAN holiday accommodations.

I honestly dont like your chances.

They are few and far apart and their allocation priority is in service order [for serving personnel] followed by retired service personnel, Defence civilians, and so it goes down.

I qualify as retired service personnel [4th priority] and I don't even bother trying to get a booking they are so well patronised. :eek:
