Question for anyone who has cruised FROM Quebec City.....

Does anyone know if the shops and casino open the usual 30 minutes after departing or do the shops/casino stay closed until we reach the Atlantic Ocean? I find it hard to believe that RCCL would lose two days of revenue, but technically we aren't in international waters, are we?

I haven´t sailed out of Quebec in the meaning of embarking in Quebec, but had Quebec as a port of call on my Jewel cruise last year.

We left Quebec late at 11:00pm and so the shops stayed closed for that day. The casino opened at 11:30pm.

Canada's laws concerning gaming are much different than the US'. Perhaps that is the reason that the casino can open.
