Lifou - what to do

Hi

We have just been advised that our cruise that we were booked on is now going to Lifou, we are travelling with a 13 year old and a 6 year old, we have been there one, and only got to do the snorkling, and I would love to hear what sort of things that we can do and see in Lifou (apart from the snorkling) or if you have travelled with your kids what they liked about Lifou.

I suggest climbing the hill to the church. There are great views of the island. I am sure your 6 year old will manage.

After that just enjoy a swim at the beach and relax with a drink of fresh coconut juice.

The islanders are beautiful and friendly.

If only I was back there now. Dream on........

There are two churches and they are both worth visiting even if it is a climb

When we were there last September, there was a man hiring out kayaks. He was on the left side of the jetty. They looked like fun. I'll look up the price a bit later - I've got a photo of his sign.

Looks like $7 AU for half an hour, $14 per hour.

You can hire snorkelling equipment too but get in fast as the price goes up when he gets low on stock.LOL.:eek:
