CeleBrat Posted May 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Hello all-- We were planning on visiting the Butchart Gardens on our upcoming cruise, but have just checked their website and see that they close at 6pm! Curses! Our cruise arrives at 6pm. Any suggestions on what else to do? We are traveling with two kids--who are aged 2 and 4. Also--what time is sunset the first week in June? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!--
c-to-sea Posted May 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2005 You wold probably enjoy one of the horse-drawn carraige tours of the city. They meet all the arriving ships and give a nice overvview with commentary. You would see the Parliament Buildings, Empress Hotel, Beacon Hill Park, etc. Have a look at http://tourismvictoria.com/Content/EN/1015.asp Sunset will be fairly late - about 9:15 but light until 10PM at least. Hope you enjoy your visit. Cliff

cruiseryyc Posted May 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2005 I would double check on Butcharts because if there is a cruise ship in town, chances are they will stay open. Your ship will most likely have a tour of the gardens which I would recommend in order to ensure that you make it back in time for departure.
