Lodging recommendations for Fairbanks

We will be doing a cruisetour with RCCL on August 22/06.

We are planning on arriving August 21 and would appreciate any info on hotels there.:)

I have the Aspen booked. The tour saver has a 2 for 1 coupon for Pike's Lodge.

anyone stay at these to compare or comment?

It's a fairly new hotel... about 3 years old. On Airport Way, just a couple of miles from the Airport, there is a Fred Meyer real close (a store with everything from Food to Guns)... I haven't ever been inside the hotel, so I can't tell you much other than that.

To the OP, if you let me know any specific hotels you are interested in, I'll be happy to tell you whatever I can....

I've stayed in the Aspen in Juneau and Soldotna. They are all built the same and do have the pool, spa, small fitness center and breakfast with waffles in the morning.
