FLL hotel for a day post cruise late flight

I am contemplating booking a 10pm flight after disembarking from the ship that morning in Fort Lauderdale (saves $200/pp). Looking for a hotel (preferably on the beach) that we can go to for the day. Most hotels won’t let you check in until 3-4, I would like a room as early as 10am without having to pay for 2 nights. Any suggestions or advise?

http://www.resortpass.com may get you into some of the larger hotels/resorts to use their pool and other facilities (tip them to store your bags)

http://www.between9and5.com is one source to check for day rooms. Day rooms, especially near the beach, will depend upon demand/time of the year.
