Seafrost Posted May 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2004 I just noticed on the Carnaval website that the price of my Cat. has dropped 50.00. I booked through a travel agent. What should I do now? Is it likely that I will get a reduction from the agent of 50.00. Should I wait to see if the price continues to drop before I should act? I have about a month and a half before my cruise. Nitemare Posted May 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Call the travel agent. What can it hurt? This is what they get their fees for, to serve you.
Krazy Kruizers Posted May 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Price reduction Some of the cruise lines won't lower the price unless the new price is at least 10% of the original price you booked the cruise.
fodorspeter Posted May 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Most cruiselines will, however, apply price decreases (even after final payment) to an upgrade (inside to outside, etc.) if you're interested in that. Peter
CaptData Posted May 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2004 You also might inquire about a cabin cerdit. You may get half of it back that way (you can buy a cheap bottle of wine for sailaway).
