rogfam Posted September 7, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Just returned from the Windsurf a few weeks ago. Sports Platform is broken and will not be repaired until the ship goes into dry dock this fall. Made no difference however, all the water activities were available off the side of the ship. We could only use them when we tendered (twice), and when the water was not rough (once). Lot of fun! No waterskiing due to surf conditions, so my daughter and myself were taken for a 30 min ride on the powerboat down the coast!
Signor John Posted September 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2006 First time on Windstar and Wind Surf this summer. What activities can I find as part of the sport's platform? I was told that the sports platform was used more in the Caribbean than in the Mediterranean because regulations in the Med are a lot more restrictive: for example, JetSkis normally can't be used in harbors. Also, Windstar's clientele is heavily American, and I'd guess that most Americans who cruise in the Mediterranean are interested in seeing the sights when the ship is in port.
