We got there about 10:30 from Key Largo, leaving at about 8:30. It was a great drive down. We parked on South Street, near the Southernmost Point and went there first. We checked out the Southernmost Beach Cafe, and we were going to go there, but we ended up clear up at Mallory Square when we wanted to have lunch, so we stayed up there.

At Southernmost Point, we checked out the view, the small beach, and the house right there (first two rooms). The people we met there, we so very friendly, recommending so many places to see. One lady recommened Camilles, but it was down that end as well. Another recommended Croissants de France, we ended up there before we left. She also recommended the Butterfly Conservatory, but we have Phipps Conservatory at home with a Butterfly room.

We went to the Hemingway House, very nice. We then walked up Duval Street, stopping at shops along the way. We walked to the pier to see the Carnival Fascination, and we explored Mallory Square. There is a place there, going out of business, everything for $5, a very good deal.

We ended up having lunch at Alonzo's Oyster Bar, it was very good. We all had fish, except for one who had chicken. Our fish was awesome, and it comes in all different styles. The place was nice, on the water, but the service was a little slow (seemed short-staffed) because it was busy.

After, we shopped a little more and went to get a Kermits Key West Key Lime Pie on a Stick, and it was delicious.

We also stopped at Croissants de France before we left, and they have the most awesome pastries, they were excellent.

I love Key West and can't wait to go back. You just can't do it in a day, and I can't imagine on a cruise ship, only there for a few hours in the morning, because the Fasincation was gone after lunch.

We keep trying to exchange our condo in Key Largo for a week in Key West, but they won't give us anything, so we will either be back for another day trip next year or cruise there.
