taxis to beaches

been looking at the excursions in Tortola...thinking about skipping them, bringing our own snorkel equipment, and catching a taxi to Brewers Bay probably?

 

We have 4 adults and 2 kids (1 and 3). They are not old enough to join us on the ship excursion to the baths, but we figure we can take them to the beach with us if we catch a cab on our own.

 

DW is worried about not being able to get a taxi back to the ship if we catch a taxi to Brewers Bay? Any issues there? Or with taking kids on the taxis?

No Problem, you can find a taxi right at the end of the pier when you get off the ship. Make arrangements with your driver for a return pick up, most of the time you don't pay until they get you back to the ship, that's very common. Have fun.

A taxi to Cane Garden is $15. I would think that Brewer's would be $15-20 but I am not sure. There are lots of taxis at Wickham's Cay.

That's the part of Road Town where the pier is located. There's also a Wickham's Cay II on the other side of the bay.

That should be for the entire taxi (one way if memory serves) - not per person but ALWAYS confirm with the driver.
