Pride of Americas - Feb

I booked our air fare to Hawaii to go on the NCL Pride of Americas. Any suggestions? We have a 5 yo.

We have cruised on the Spirit so have some experience with NCL.

Anyone did the cruise during winter break in Feb? How many kids were on board?

We did a POAm over T.giving and there were loads of kids (extra counselors had been hired for the week). The kids program was very good (our DD was 10YO at the time).

I would shy away from the ship's sponsored larger excursions because many of them have some shopping stop component. Rent a car or use a cab (to get to relatively close attractions such as the aquarium on Maui).

Have a great time.

There should be a fair number of kids in the "not quite ready for school" age group...there always are!

Go to the library or bookstore and get a guidebook on Hawaii, so you'll have a much better idea of what there is, where it is, how much to get there.....rental cars are PLENTIFUL, but you really have to have some sort of "plan" for each stop, or you'll waste alot of time.

The humpback whales should be calving in Feb...keep an eye out for them!!!!
