Viceroy Hotel - any experience

DW and I are flying in to Miami 10/31, have a one night stay planned at the Viceroy Hotel, got a great deal $105.00. I know the Hotel is downtown Dose anyone have any experience with this Hotel?

 

We do plan to go over to Southbeach, but will cab it, is this Hotel as nice as it looks and worth staying downtown vs. in Southbeach? As I mentioned we only have a one night stay and get on the ship the next day.

 

Your thoughts would be helpful.

I haven't stayed there, but I've been in it. Yes, it's as nice as it looks, it's brand new and SPECTACULAR! That's a terrific price for it!

 

There are many very nice South Beach hotels, but they'll cost you a whole lot more than $105. You're fine for one night, just take a taxi to South Beach, wander around, shop, have a nice dinner, you'll still be ahead of what a comparable South Beach hotel would cost you for a night.

Viceroy is advertised for $105-$115 for October through Travelzoo.

 

I don't mean to recommend a hotel I have not stayed at, but it looks nice.
