Thanksgiving on the Dawn

Question for you thanksgiving cruisers...

Would anyone who has cruised on Thanksgiving let me know if they have a thanksgiving-type meal? Turkey, etc?

 

Just curious and hopeful!

The one time we cruised over T-day, they did have a special turkey dinner on the menu, complete with stuffing=, cranberry sauce and apple pie. Wasn't quite the same thing as making it yourself but still themeal was nice. when we got home, we cooked our own turkey. A great time to travel though, because the weather was perfect. Have a great cruise.

It's been a few years since our last Thanksgiving cruise but,

 

yes, the Dawn did offer a turkey/stuffing/cranberry sauce option in the main diningroom that night.

we cruised a few thanksgivings ago on the Sun and every dining room, pay or free, had some kind of thanksgiving option on the menu

They did when we cruised 2 Thanksgivings ago, but who wanted turkey, when there was Shrimp and seafood on the menu!!!

We sailed last Thanksgiving, and the crew was rather coy, not willing to comment on whether or not there would be turkey. Of course there was, to the relief of some who remained concerned.

 

Unfortunately, for me the grinch has stolen all my Thanksgivings. In this case the grinch is my cardiologist, who has me on an animal protein-free diet, ie, a vegan diet. What a way to dampen a cruise.

Are you currently vegan? I did it for two months this spring as part of a medical study. The one thing I missed was cheese. and bacon. Other than that, it was fine...
