Cheers! You cannot buy Cubans on the ship. You can buy Cubans in many ports. You must have them smoked BEFORE you arrive on US soil. Be careful as you may get other cigars being passed off as Cuban. Caveat emptor as it were. If you try to bring them back and are caught the fine is nasty nasty nasty.
CruisinCane Posted November 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2009 They do not sell Cuban cigars in the cigar lounge on the ship, but you can buy them in port and smoke them on the ship. As the previous poster said, they must be consumed prior to return to a US port. You do have to be careful that you are buying true Cuban cigars, however, most of the ports in the Southern Caribbean itenerary are pretty reputable. In particular there is a really good cigar store in the shopping area just outside of the port in St. Maarten. Enjoy!!

Rare silentbob007 Posted November 9, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2009 Definitely be on the lookout for fakes and also be aware that Cubans are quite spendy, especially in ports where they know they can soak Americans trying to get a little contraband.
