snowshh Posted January 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2005 We're transiting the Panama Canal, west to east coast. Does anyone know if we need to get any specific shots for this crossing?
aldesonia Posted January 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2005 We did a 14 day W-E in april. We did not need any shots. Don't know if this has changed. Hope this helps. AL D
cali-croozer Posted January 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2005 We always check with our doctor before cruising, just to make sure. Once, we were advised to take a series of Hep-A and tetanus.
kitty9 Posted January 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2005 No shots are "required" but it is always a great idea to get the Hep A and B shots whenever you travel outside the country. Also, if you are going to take trips that will take you into jungle areas, you might want to talk to your doctor about malaria pills.
StephenJohnson Posted January 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2005 No shots required. Depending on your level of anxiety, you may want any number of shots, you can consult a travel physician for definitive (but non-free) advice. Good cruising!
