caribophile Posted November 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2009 Our upcoming cruise on the Jewel is our first with RCCL. On past cruises, I've found it quite cool at dinner. Just bought a new sleeveless dress for formal nights. Will I need a shawl? Are they available in the on board shops?
abhb Posted November 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2009 I am always cold at night on the ship. I would bring a wrap. It is better to have something and not need it than to be cold.

cb at sea Posted November 26, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2009 I've never been too chilly in the dining room...now, on deck, after dark, the wind gets me everytime!

amybeth4 Posted November 26, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 26, 2009 I've cruised twice this year (both RCI) and brought a light sweater and both times I never needed it anywhere onboard at night and my dresses (and most tops) are almost always sleeveless. I remember the pre-cutback days it was always chilly but not anymore. I honestly think raising the temp a couple of degrees is part of the cutbacks. It's not raised enough to be warm by any means but it's quite comfortable.
