Tropix33 Posted November 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2009 Has anyone stayed in this category of room on the Ruby? Any disadvantages; location on ship, etc.? Thanks for any info on any of these rooms.

FritzG Posted November 30, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2009 We like the BD balcony cabins on Baja deck because they are covered and more of them are midship. Where are the BE's located? We don't like forward cabins at all, but aft ones on the side are generally fine. Our tablemates on our last Ruby cruise had a BE about 10 cabins down from ours, and it was in a good location. Tropix33 Posted November 30, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted November 30, 2009 Okay, well now I just went in and looked and they have switched us from being on the Baja Deck in a BE balcony room towards the front to a Riveira Deck BC balcony room towards the back by the Terrace Pool. Is this better or worse, surprised they could just switch our room type without notice, hopefully it's for the better. Has anyone stayed in this category of room on the Ruby? The further upfront you go the more chance of noise from above.
Tropix33 Posted November 30, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted November 30, 2009 Thanks Colo Cruiser! This makes me feel better. How is the Terrace Pool, our room looks pretty close to that one? This is our first time on a Princess. The Riviera deck cabins in the 600-700 area are good. The further upfront you go the more chance of noise from above.
