Changing departure date

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but I just want to make sure -- If I put down a deposit and later need to change my departure date, the deposit will be moved over to the new cruise, is that correct? There's no penalty for switching cruises after deposit (before final payment) is there?

You are correct there is no penalty.

As long as you keep the same confirmation number, you can transfer your deposit to a different date, destination, etc.

I am sure you know that the price of your original cruise does not carry over to the new cruise. The new cruise cost will be the price at the time of the switch. Also, if you are changing to a cruise that requires a higher deposit, you will have to pay the difference.

And the only reason to keep the same confirmation number would be if you booked on board and had an OBC associated with the booking. You can simply cancel, get a credit on the cc and rebook with a new deposit. Simple to do.
