My first time on a cruise will be 2/8/10. I was given 100.00 in funship dollars. How do these work and is there anything special I need to know about them

Lucky you! Probably the easiest thing to do would be to bring the certificate on board with you and bring to the Purser's Desk and they'll apply to your S&S account.

 

You can use it for anything on your cruise, including tips.

On the back of the certificate gives a lot of useless information.

Do not pay attention to that stuff.

 

You CAN take them with you on your cruise- hand them in at the pursers desk to apply to your onboard purchases. The certificate is good for anything--including tips or casino usage-- (after it is applied to your account)

 

whatever youhave left over at the end will be given to you ina check the last day- you can cash the check at the pursers desk.

I agree!! We have given and received them as gifts :D. We ALWAYS take them on board with us and on the second - or third - day (when it is not so busy) we take them to the Purser's Desk.

It shows up immediately as a credit on your S&S account and it off sets any charges - including the tips. We have never had any left at the end :rolleyes: - but others in our group have and they received a check stapled to their final S&S invoice the last morning.

thanks for all the feed back.....so I don't have to send them back like it says....we just bring them on the ship and go to the desk...i'm hoping to use it towards a cabana at half moon cay
