Best time to arrive at Port Miami

My first cruise will be on the Ncl Epic July 2010, I have a pre and post cruise hotel booked so that I will not be in a rush or hassle at the port or airport. Having said that, what time should I expect to get to the port to

board?

We typically try to arrive abour 11:00-11:30, so that we can enjoy lunch on board. Good luck!:)

I take a different approach. I arrive about 1:00 p.m. On the down side, the buffet is quite crowded and I may skip lunch. On the up side, I can typically zip onto the ship without a wait and there is still plenty of time to walk the ship before sailing.
