Ft. Lauderdale-Courtyard by Marriott ?

Has anyone stayes at the Courtyard by Marriott Airport before and if so was it nice? Anything to do nearby? We are booked to stay there for one night after our cruise. We would like to find something to do for the day if anyone can make any suggestions. Is it close to the water taxi? Are there any good restaurants within walking distance? We will be cruising on 4/25/10. Thanks for your help.

It is a block from a casual chain restaurant, Islamorada Fish Co, and is more than 5 miles from the water taxi. I don't think there are any other restuarants in reasonable walking distance.

We stayed there a few years ago before a cruise and the rooms were nice, but like Royalcruz said, not much around it...Bass Pro is about it...
