Marriott Biscayne Bay or Courtyard Marriott Downtown (2nd Ave.) Advice??

I recently booked the Marriott Biscayne for the night before our cruise thinking that we would be in Miami at 11:30 am the day before. Under further investigation I realize that we will actually be there at 11:30 pm. the night before the cruise leaves. There is approximately $80 difference in the price--I'm thinking we are just sleeping there. I like to be at the port between 10:30-11:00. I can't imagine the taxi being anymore expensive--according to the maps they are approximately a 1/2 mile apart. Am I missing anything for $80 dollars less???

If you are arriving that late, save the money. Taxi from MIA to either hotel will run $25-30, and another $10 to get to POM in the morning.
