werter Posted January 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2010 We are sailing on Sunday, February 21, and I was trying to make a snorkeling trip arrangement in Curacao. I thought we would be there on Thursday, Feb 25, from 8 am -5pm. The company I tried to book the tour with said they have the ship there on Wednesday, Feb 24 from 2pm until midnight, which would not allow us to do the tour. My travel agent still has the trip listed as I expected. Does anyone know which is correct, and if it changed, when and why? Thanks

Thanks The HAL website has it as 2 pm till midnight: 24 Feb 2010 Willemstad (Curacao), Antilles 02:00 PM 12:00 AM They switched Aruba and Curacao; originally the first stop was Aruba. It's a long way down to the islands so the first arrival is midday. We are on a charter that goes from Ft. Lauderdale and after two days at sea we will be in Curacao at 8 am; you have a day in Half Moon Cay on the way down.
nagsheadbeachbum Posted January 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2010 ;)We are also on the 2/21 Zuiderdam. I got a notice about a month ago stating the change but no explanation. My group was planning to snorkel in Curacao but with an afternoon arrival, the water is not as clear, so we opted for an excursion/tour to sightsee and have dinner at a beach restaurant. If you check the shore excursions for Curacao you will see that they've changed everything to afternoon and eliminated some completely. Our tour company did know about the change and advised us accordingly. Don't know the reason but it did add some hours to Aruba. Hope this helps Arlene
