Which Hilton in Barcelona?

We have Hilton Honors points we want to use in Barcelona. There are 2 Hiltons and we don't know which to choose. Does anyone know which Hilton is closer to Las Ramblas and the Gothic area? Also, because of allergies, I try to get rooms with windows that open or a balcony. Does anyone know if either Hilton has windows that open? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ddcruiser

We chose to use our points at the Hilton Diagonal Del Mar. Trip advisor gave it better reviews, and it seems as if it will be closer to the tourist areas. We haven't stayed there yet. Maybe you'll get other responses.

Neither Hilton is in the best location to actually visit sights in Barcelona BUT the Diagonal Mar at least lets you have views of the Med. The good thing is that taxi fares in Barcelona are reasonable.

Thanks for the responses. We finally (after total ambivalence due to the location) booked the Hilton Diagonal Mar. Knowing the taxi cost is pretty reasonable makes the hotel location less of a concern. The euro is so high now that it makes sense to use points when and where we can. I'll let people know how we feel about the hotel after we try it. ddcruiser
