St Maarten

I have read many times that it is neat to watch the planes land. Can someone tell me where we would go to watch this? We have a morning excurstion to the Tiki Hut. When we leave the hut, we can either go back to the ship or to the town. What would be the best way to go? I figure we probably should go to town and catch a cab. Does anybody know the time and cost of this?

Thanks.

You want to go to Maho to watch the planes.

After the Tiki Hut go into town. Go to back street and wait for a bus that says Mullet Bay, MLT or Maho. Raise your arm to shoulder level to flag them down. Let the driver know you want to get off at Maho beach. It is past the airport. The bus will cost $2 per person and take about 45 mins depending on time of day. Make sure you allow minimum 1.5 hours to get back to the ship as there are often big traffic jams
