Miracle in 2010

We were on the Miracle for our 3rd time last week. Loved it as much as ever. "Crash" was not a problem at all. Captain handled it very well and kept us informed.

St Lucia is gorgeous. Had a private tour arranged with Spencer Ambrose and it was amazing. He is the best guide we have ever had....I highly recommend him. He could not do enough for us. Such a wonderful man.

St. Kitts - we just stayed near the pier and shopped. Good bargains.

St. Maarten - 2nd time there so we just shopped and took a taxi to the other side of the island to shop at the Harley Davidson store. Enjoyed the sights along the way.

Food on the Miracle was excellent. Casino staff ok. Room steward was not the best we've had but figured it might have been an "off" week for him. He did get better as the week went on.

Ship is still in good shape but the common restrooms could use more frequent attention in cleaning.

Any questions?

We are booked on this tour of St Lucia with Spencer Ambrose April 1st. We can not wait. Did you spend any time at the beach and if so, did you take the water taxi back to ship? I would love to hear more:DThanks

I was on the Miracle in Sept 09 and I cant go on about how much I loved the food in the main dining room, several nights we even ordered two servings as it was just so impressive!

Then there is the Lido deck! WOW the rubens were Awesome! The Pizza was real good, at least the styles we ordered were :) I was not too impressed with the coffee, but at home I drink a good columbian so its very hard to match that anywhere :)

We spent a lot of time in the casino as DH played texas holdem and the casion manager was always over talking to us and chatting up a storm, we even got our picture taken with him :)

I had so much fun, I am going again!

We are sailing the Miracle for the third time in May.....she is a wonderful ship. I don't have one negative thing to say about our cruises, except the self debark process, which was surprisingly different and smooth on the Victory.

Half Moon Cay is absolute paradise.

I'll be on the 6/24 sailing out of NY:D Sooo excited. Ports of call are Puerto Rico, St Thomas and Grand Turk. I was very excited about this itinerary...and still am....One question though.....

Did i make a mistake by not booking the normal route....turk, private island and nassau. I have been to Nassau....BUT is the private island really dumb to miss. They only do my itinerary 3x this year apparently.....

What do you think.

Thanks

K

We took the same cruise last July. It was a great itinerary. Grand Turk is almost like a private island. You take a short walk down the pier and you are on a private beach. There is duty free shopping and a Margaritaville. Lots of fun.

Has anyone been on the Miracle for the Panama, Costa Rica, and Belize route. Any reviews or suggestions would be nice. We are going on our 8th Carnival Cruise on the April 5th cruise.

Click on the link in my signature for my review with pictures. We loved the Miracle and had a great cruise on that route.

  • 4 weeks later...

Thanks for starting this thread! All the others about the Miracle that I've found were from pretty far back.

We are sailing in May- can't wait!! Does anyone know what the current shows are? How were they?

Last time I cruised on the Miracle they had Ticket to Ride- which was awesome!

Thanks! :D

We just sailed the Miracle March 12. The 2 main shows were the same, "Generations," and "Ticket to Ride." We saw "Ticket to Ride" on our last Miracle cruise, so we skipped it this time (I agree--it was good). We saw "Generations" this time, and it was good, too.

Apparently, they don't change the shows that often because of the expense involved with new sets, new costumes, new music, etc. Have a good trip!

Thanks for letting me know! I don't mind seeing the same shows again, since I liked them so much and it was 2 years ago that I saw them so it won't be too redundant. How was your cruise? Hope you had a great time!

We've done the Legend 2004, and the Miracle 2008 and 2009 with this itinerary with the exception 2008 the last stop was Tortolla instead of Grand turk. If you like to shop St. Thomas is your place. Duty free up to $1,600 per person. Puerto Rico you're in kind of late but there are still several excursions. Grand Turk all the hype is Margaritaville but it's so overpriced Whew! boards here say take a ride just up the beach to Jack's Shack for nicer beach and better prices. To sum it up - I don't think you'll be disappointed with the itinerary change.

We will be on the Miracle new route to Aruba next March....can't wait. Have only sailed larger ships so am looking forward to a more casual cruise atmosphere. Everyone says the layout is much better. The lido deck looks confusing....kind of chopped up with where the pools are....is this right....we love to sit on our balcony but also love the lido deck for people watching and music. Is there really 3 different sections to it?

in the balcony rooms there are the mini fridges, and the safes are magnetic

mini fridges in balcony cabins with 1 can OJ, 1 coke, 1 diet coke, 1 can tonic, 1 becks beer, 1 amstel light, usual nip bottles of absolut, seagrams rye, jack, tangueray gin, a scotch - anybody let me know what I missed. Safe uses a credit card - pain in the butt issue is that same card has to open it, so when DH uses his carnival MC to lock it my carnival MC won't open it and vice versa. I think it was princess where we were able to enter a 4 digit code into the safe, liked that better. Can't tell you how many times I went back to the cabin for something and then wanted into the safe and couldn't get in it

We are sailing the Miracle in 38 days...for the 3rd time. It is a wonderful ship and I really have no complaints. I'm pretty critical in general, but honestly I will say, they left nothing for me to comment on. Little things here and there, maybe, but nothing has stuck in my mind to remember.

We chose to do the same itinerary again, boring and repetitive to some, but Half Moon Cay was so amazing I could literally return frequently.

We are trying the supper club for the first time, we will be in Nassau for dh's birthday and thought we would finally try it.

Aside from their self disembark process, I don't think much could be improved. We were off the Truimph quickly and orderly, I wish the Miracle had the same plan.

Hi there! Yes, there are 3 sections, but I didn't think of it as chopped up. It's divided by sections of the food areas, so you can walk straight through to get to the other sections. I actually liked the layout since each area is separated in a sense, which made it seem less crowded or swamped with people. Also, the areas seem to each be geared toward different groups- though not officially be any means (most families with kids in one area, party crown in another, and the adult-only pool was most mellow and where we stayed most of the time). So in that sense I really liked that it was in 3 separate areas- hopefully you will too!

We used our grocery store discount card to open the safe, so that we could stash it somewhere in the room so it was available to both of us at anytime, without the other person having to be there. If you use another card besides one person's Sail & Sign card (which requires that person to be there) it might be more convenient for you. I think you can use any magnetic card- so even a gift card, movie rental card, etc.

I can't wait to see him LOL! :D Thanks!

We just got back from the Miracle on 4/5 and Malcolm was not the CD:mad: Our CD was Josh Waitzman "Big Sexy", I personally did not find him to be very funny, but that could just be me:D

Sailing on her in Jan 2011! We originally booked the St Maarten/St. Kitts/St. Lucia itin but had to switch due to school conflicts.

I have no idea what to do on our new itin.::eek:

Grand Turk

Catalina Island

Curacao

Aruba

What can anyone tell me about these ports!

Carnival website lists nothing for shore excursions for the last 3 ports! I don't understand why?

I've been to the ports of call board a few times. We want to snorkel and hit the beach most of the time.

Is there anything not to be missed?!

TIA:)

We sailed on 3/20, and Josh was the C.D. then as well. He's just filling in for a couple of months, and then Malcolm will be back. We had a GREAT time with Big Sexy though, and thought that he was as good as any C.D. we've had for a while. I do, however enjoy Malcolm too. We're doing "Miracle" again in November, so we'll probably have Malcolm then.....
