Question for the ladies: Hair salon

I'd like to make an app't to get my hair done for the first formal day. How soon should I make an app't? What is the approx. charge for a wash/blow dry, curling iron set? How much do you tip?

You should make your app't. when you board the ship. Don't know the charges, but they'll be higher than you'd pay on land! Tip the same percentage you'd tip at your home salon...what is it now...15%???

It depends on the ship and your length of hair. If you have short hair the cost for a blow dry and style can go anywhere from $35 to $50. If it's longer, the cost is higher. You need to go up to the salon as soon as you board and make an appointment---they fill up very fast for the first formal night.
