Try subway watersports. They will pick you up at the pier. The staff is American / European. They are a bit pricy but you will get one on one attention and will not be on a cattle boat. My wife and I dove with them last march. DW who is not certified had her own instructor. I was doing my certification dives and had my own instructors. The only people on the boat were myself, DW, 2 instructors and the boat captain. You can find the link to them at http://www.roatan.net

Yes, we set up to dive with Salt & Pepper in June of last year. When we arrived the sister of one of the partners set us up with a dive master. She made a comment that one of the partners had just left on a trip without much notice. I sensed she was just following through for him. He did not inform her we were coming. Even though we had corresponded many times with them.

We ended up having a great dive maser, wonderful man, private dive two different reefs. He was very safety conscious, and an excellent teacher. Used to be in the merchant marines, probably in his 60's now.

I wouldn't use Salt & Pepper as you source though, but their hotel area is a great private beach for relaxing. I can't remember the name of our dive master, but there are several very good ones you could choose from.

hey, pls check www.suenodelmar.com.. SDM is top notch..dove with

them in December...did my final two open water dives..their Dive Master

is great, Jeff...you can't go wrong...plus if you need a place to stay,

Ray has one hotel and is building another new one--great for dive

vacations...cost is reasonable, they make sure you get lunch during

the surface interval, equipment is first class--handled professionally by

Barry their eq mgr...strong recommendation to go with them if you

are learning to dive or just love to dive...r/wes
