This morning early and again this afternoon on the travel ch there was a show called "Cruise Do's and Dont's" Has anyone else seen this show? I wish there were more shows on cruising, it sure helped me get a "cruise" fix this morning.

Yes I have, several times but I still watched it this afternoon. It really makes me want to cruise NOW!

For me, that was the first time I had seen the show but like you I WANNA CRUISE NOWWWWW.....

At the same time it did give me a fox though.

I did however think they concentrated a little too much on the Disney ships, but thats OK, it was worth watching. I should have TVod' it so I could watch it again and again.

I watched this today as well.... one part that made me choke on my drink was the statement they made about the casino's. Can't quote exactly, but it was along the lines of "Our casino's are regulated just the same as Vegas casino's...blah blah blah" NOT... NEVER, and I mean NEVER have I seen slot machines so tight before in my life. I have worked in 4 casino's and have played in many many more and I will never touch a Carnival slot machine again for as long as I live. Just thought that was funny that they lied like that right there on national TV.

These cruise ships are not registered in America for many reasons. Labor laws being a major reason and casino regulations being another. While in international waters, the ships can run their casino's as they please... and they run them to make a fortune off the passengers.

I have heard from family and freinds to stay away from the casino's which I plan to do, we have them close to home and get all kinds of offers to go to them and almost never do. When we DO go we follow a plan of only taking $100 as a donation, the fuel tank is full and all CC and checkbooks are left behind. I just cant see my hard earned money going to waste so fast.

I have seen it several times...it is one of those shows that if I am flipping through the channels and it is on I HAVE to stop and watch it no matter how much time was left on the show!!!! Did anyone see the show about "The World" from ResidenSea? The one about the cruise ship that is really a condo for millionaires? What a great show that one is too!

We watched it and enjoyed it. It is a must see for any first time cruiser, but to be honest with you I have found much more info here on CC :) I have been compiling a list of all the tips related to the things I never knew so my next cruise will be EVEN better!!!

It DOES give you a cruise fix though:D

Saw these 2 shows plus the one on the construction of QM2 and another featuring the Norwegian Pearl (both shows hosted by Peter Greenberg). The latter was the most educational if you want to learn more about how cruise lines operate and try to be profitable. Very informative. All of these shows have been on in the last week or two. And during the winter season, fathom that. ;)

I have seen that many times, also enjoy when Samantha Brown goes on a cruise, love the travel channel:D

I remember as a youngster going with my grandma to what was called travelogs at the local high school, someone would come in with either slides or movie of different places, very interesting even as a young child.

I also remember my grandma and great aunts going on the Queen Mary, we brought them down to New York and were able to go on the ship and to there room, it was just sooooo neat. They traveled quite a bit, and out of there grandchildren and nieces and nephews I guess I got the travel bug from them:D

Yep, have seen it at least twice before! You'd think after six cruises, we wouldn't dive at the TV to watch it each time it's on!!!
