Best Western Marina Inn & Yacht Harbor, Fort Lauderdale

It has been a few years since we sailed from Fort Lauderdale and we were wondering what happened to the Best Western Marina and Yacht Harbor...it doesn't seem to exist any more.

If you go to google maps, and get the satellite view, you can see the empty lot where the Best Western used to be.

It has been a few years since we sailed from Fort Lauderdale and we were wondering what happened to the Best Western Marina and Yacht Harbor...it doesn't seem to exist any more.

 

Is it the motel at Bahia Cabana? If so it is a Days Inn and is one of the scariest places I've ever seen.

This motel was across the highway from the Hyatt Pier 66 and at the base of the bridge. It was demolished in 2007.
