Here is a video we took of the stingrays

After leaving the stingrays, we went to a reef and did some snorkeling. The water was a bit choppy and there really wasn’t too much to see. We all headed back to the boat and were on our way to Rum Point. Once we got there we walked down the dock to the beach area where our lunch was waiting for us on the picnic table. BF and I both ordered jerk chicken, rice and beans, and corn on the cob. The food was so good. We both enjoyed it very much. After we ate I started to take a few pics of the beach and BF went into the water and seen a barracuda under the dock. A few people went over, but I was not getting in to even be close to it. I laid on the dock and stuck my head down and you could see it from both sides of the dock. The thing was big. While he was occupied with that, I went back to the beach to take more pics and sat at the picnic table and did some people watching and just relaxed. We had about 1 ½ hrs there and it was just perfect. I would definitely recommend Nativeways. The guides were great with us and Rum Point is amazing!

Froggy, I'm really enjoying your review of the next ship I want to book :D. Loving the pics and the videos too. Have to ask though, someone seems to take a header with the stingrays in your video - did he fall or was it on purpose?

Anyway, can't wait for the next installment.

On the way back to the ship, the the guides showed us an area where there were many iguanas. They were just hanging out on peoples lawns and stone walls.

When we got back to the ship, we went to our room to shower and I opened the door and BF had surprised me with birthday decorations. Awwww how sweet. That was the icing on the cake.

Thank you for looking. :) My BF was taking the video and there is a long neck strap, so I'm thinking he may have dropped the camera as he was holding it. I'm not sure. He didn't mention anything about falling.

Love your review so far! I especially love the picture of the two of you kissing the stingray - I was waaaayyyy too scared to do that when I was there last year!

Oh you have to try it, cmon it was fun! She was puckering up for my BF, kept flapping up near his face like gimme some sugar....lol It was great.

Day 4- 2/10/10 Cozumel

This was our second time in Cozumel. This time we had 7 ships in port including ours, so we decided to go to Nachi Cocom. I was a little nervous due to the recent reviews I was reading about the service when it is busy. It actually wasn’t really that busy considering how many people were in Cozumel that day. The $49pp was definitely worth it for us. BF was throwing back beer and tequila shots like they were going out of style. Now THAT is another story. Let’s just say he asked me how he got back to the ship. Anyway, the food was good and nice size portions. We ordered nachos and chicken quesadillas. I had flan for dessert.

The weather there was cloudy at first and at one point everyone took cover at all the tables because it was getting really dark. I don’t think it actually rained, maybe just a sprinkle. A little while later it cleared up. BF said the water was chilly at first, but I didn’t go in. We spent most of the second half of the day in the "warm" tub talking to the people we met throughout the day. Nachi Cocom is a beautiful place.

He was in another world by this time....lol Once we got back on the ship BF went to sleep and I went out on the balcony until we left Cozumel. I went in to take a little nap and we both didn't wake up until morning.

Here is a video of some late passengers on the Crown Princess docked right across from us.

And this is another, must have been a Carnival excursion. Lots of late people.

Day 5- 2/11/10 Belize

This was also our second time in Belize and this time we chose to do the Gallows Reef and Beach Break Tour with Eco Tours. Before breakfast we took a walk down to the Follies Lounge to get our tender tickets and there were a few people waiting, but the lounge was still closed. We went to have a quick breakfast and then headed back to the lounge. Since we weren’t taking a Carnival excursion, we ended up with sticker number 17. It’s not as bad as it sounds. We were probably the second group called I think, maybe the third. The weather was not so good in Belize today. It was cloudy almost all day until we got back on the ship and then the sun was shining..lol It figures. The tender ride was smooth and we had plenty of time to look in a few shops after we checked in for our excursion.

These were taken right near the shops

We seen a cute little turtle in the water.

CarnivalLegend2-7thru2-14302.jpg

At about 9:30, we were all ready to go. We walked back up to the area where the tender let us off and all got into a boat that took us out to snorkel. The boat ride was bumpy as heck. More so on the way back because we were sitting in the front part that was lifting up off the water. We went to Bannister Island and dropped off the non snorkelers and had a about a half hr before the snorkelers needed to be back on the boat.

The snorkeling was eh. The waters were choppy and like I said before it was cloudy and even started to rain a bit. We may have been out there for 45 min. or so before we got back on the boat and headed back to Bannister Island. I loved this beach as well. There is a trampoline out in the water, a volleyball net, a couple of swings, hammocks, a bar, food and they have a monkey in a cage toward the back of the beach.

Froggy, awesome review! Your pics of Rum Point made me so jealous! In '08, we were scheduled to go there with Nativeways, but due to bad weather, they cancelled that part of the tour. Can't complain too much, since we at least made it to Stingray City (which is more than I can say for Carnival's tours! One more reason to book independant!) The beach looks beautiful, and I am bummed to have missed it. Maybe we'll have to do this cruise next, since we've never been to Roatan or Belize! Keep up the great work, looking forward to the last few days!

Day 6- 2/12/10 Roatan

This by far was my favorite day on the cruise. We booked the Private Island Tour with Victor Bodden and added on the monkeys and West Bay Beach (Mayan Princess) I thought Roatan was beautiful.

When we got off the ship, we walked through the port area and out to the main road. We had to walk up a little hill where we met someone holding a Victor Bodden sign. We waited for a few others and then hopped into a van where we were taken to meet our guide for the day. I requested Tex due to all the great reviews here on CC. Tex was great and very informative. He made sure we did exactly what we wanted to do and made a few suggestions to help us out. He kept saying if you see something you want to take a pic of or look at just tell me to stop. We didn't feel rushed at all and we spent as much time as we wanted at the stops.

First up was the monkeys. We did some sightseeing on the way and when we arrived we payed the $5pp and walked through with a guide and Tex waited outside. The first animal we seen was an acouti (sp?) He was so cute. As soon as we went up to the cage, he stood up on his hind legs with his back up against the cage waiting for us to scratch his back. He was loving it. So cute.

Now it was on to the monkeys. They were all over us. It was too funny. Here are a couple of videos.

After the monkeys we headed over to the parrotts and toucans. They were beautiful.

Then we went over and seen these little guys. I can't remember what they are called. They look like rats, but the guide said they are in the rabbit family.

After we left the monkeys, we were on the way to the beach, but did more sightseeing on the way.

We asked to get out here and walked down by the water.

CarnivalLegend2-7thru2-14436.jpg?t=1266678738

I thought this was absolutely gorgeous. The water was surrounded by volcanic rock and Tex said it was like that all around the island.

After we left here we drove through West Bay and then were headed to the Mayan Princess. We stopped to take a pic at the overlook of the beach.

This was also the second elegant night and getting back to the ship at an early time was good. We were able to take a nap and then get ready for dinner. We went down at the same time as the first day and got seated right away. Tonight I had Penne Siciliana, a salad, and I had the melting cake again. BF had the flat iron steak and some shrimp cocktail.

After we ate we decided to go to the casino and do a little gambling. We brought our letters and got our 500 points and complimentary drink. We gambled for a little while and then headed up to bed.

Day 6-2/13/10 Sea Day

Today we just lounged around and ordered room service, and BF went in the hot tub. This was the day we heard the news of the engine problem. Luckily for us, I had booked a late flight out the next day so we ended up being ok. I feel bad for all the people with early flights who had to go through the hassle of rebooking flights and making hotel arrangements. It was a set back for some, but I really didn't hear many complaints at all.

So that night we went to eat in the buffet, did some more gambling, then went to play coverall bingo in the Follies Lounge at 9:45pm. After the bingo was over we stayed for the Legends show. It was the first time we had seen one there were a few good ones. Jen, the cruise director was hilarious at the end. Overall, it was a good show.

Day 7- 2/14/10

Today we got to sleep in since we were not arriving in Tampa until 3pm. We woke up around 9:30 and headed to breakfast. After breakfast we walked around the ship a little and then went back to our room to watch T.V. A little after 2pm we decided to start heading down to deck 3 to wait for the ship to dock. This is when BF noticed he didn't have his sail and sign card. He kept saying you must have packed it. I think I would have seen it if I packed it. (I found it in his shorts when we got home):) So it was my fault for packing his shorts, not his fault for not taking it out of the pocket or even remembering that it was in there..lol what a brat.

We arrived in Tampa at 3pm like they said and we were off the ship by about 3:30pm and we were off to the airport. It was a sad day, but a great cruise!

Here are some pics of the ship
