Has anyone snorkeled on a Princess cruise in Huatulco? Was it worth it? What other snorkeling place would you compare it to? Of the three offered by Princess, which was the best....Five Bays by Catmaran and Swim or Huatulco Beach Snorkel Adventure or Two Bay Snorkel by Boat-New Tour?

We hired a local boat in Huatulco. The guide gave us a tour of the bays and dropped us off at La Entrega Beach. This beach is where the Princess excursion "Huatulco Beach Snorkel Adventure" goes. We snorkeled right off the beach around the rocky area. I think the snorkeling there is ok, but not excellent.

Thank you for the replies. I think we will do it. It is the only place on our Panama Canal cruise that has any snorkeling at all. Do you see of mainly brown or green coral or is there some pretty colored coral here?

No it goes to Ocho Rio instead so it will Dunn's Falls. There used to be a great fun catamaran and snorkel tour in Jamaica but it is not offered on a Princess ship. It must have been on a RCI. That was one of our favorite ever tours. The catamaran was one of those with the fun open net that bounced around. They played great music and taught us all the fun dances of Jamaica. The snorkeling was fun as well but a little scary too in the middle of the ocean somewhere where the corral was underneath you.

Last year we took the cab to the beach, I think it was $6 each way. Cabs waiting for return back to the ship. Excellent restaurants . Snorkeling was very good with alot of fish along the coral reef.
