I just read the story.....

3465 pass. 1190 crew = 4655 total people

229 pass 18 crew got sick = 247 people got sick

Do the numbers, that is about 5 % of total on board got ill.

When someone in my house or office get sick it seems like anywhere from 20 % to 50 %

of the crowd gets sick....

There you have it, you're much less likely to get sick on a ship.... another reason to

BOOK A CRUISE !

Once the percentage is over 5 % the CDC is notified, that is the way the news get the information. The concern when you are on a ship, it is a closed enviroment and potentially the virus could spread, it sounds like RCCL is on top of it though.

I saw the crawler on CNN this morning and I thought.... slow news day! :)

I saw it too and promptly switched the channel so DH ( he's paranoid enough about seasickness let alone norwalk!) wouldn't see it! Must be slow at CNN is right
