I work out of a hospital so I see people in PJs all day long. But please don't wear hospital gowns. You know the ones open in the back.

I wore that outfit for Halloween in 08 on the Destiny. People loved it....I made sure to keep it nonoffensive though....I found the costume online....

Wanna quote for me where Carnival says it's contrary to ship's rules for one to wear their pajamas in any public spaces on the ship? Or would you all just like to keep imposing your own mores and clothing issues on the OP because you can?

Adults shouldn't have to have a "rule" to know what is appropriate and what is not.

At least, mature adults don't.

Why not? I see people everyday in their PJ's at the grocery store, post office, and standing on the street corner. I saw an older man with his slippers and bathrobe on. Anything goes these days.

This is just downright lazy.........

And and I see people in grocery stores with barefeet.......disgusting.......

I agree with the barefeet in the grocery store (and I'm not a fan of shoes), as it take two seconds to kick into a pair of soccer scuffs or boots.

As for pjs on deck in the early AM ... personally, I don't care. I've been known to walk into the convenience store for a breakfast sandwich and coffee in my flannel pajama bottoms and a hockey jersey (don't get all hot and bothered guys ... control yourselves). I could just as easily pull on sweatpants or yoga pants, but I don't own any (as I hate the material they're made out of ... and sweat pants in public means you've given up on life). I do draw the line at wearing them after 10 AM or before 7 PM though. I do have a few standards.

So when I wear my "beernuts" lounging pants and t-shirt on deck in the morning for coffee I'm not being mature?

thank god!!!

I'm growing older but not up....LOL :p

EEEEWWWW Barefeet in the grocery store!!!!

Beernut jammie pants are great,lol.

There is a time and a place to "clean up" I agree with that, but sometimes running to the grocery in your jammie pants sometimes happens! I have 2 younger children. {9 and 2} ans when you run out of diapers or milk and they are soggy and hongrey, changing clothes just is not on the top of the list at 7 am.

Yes, I said it! :p

You're certainly mature, so what's your excuse?

I wouldn't do it, but if you are comfortable, do it. I've seen adults in the airport now wearing pajamas. My question is, after you sit after others in their street clothes do you wear those pj's back to bed? Doesn't seem sanitary. I cruised 2/5-2/8/10 Mia/Nas on the Imagination. I saw pj's on adults in the buffet area Lido deck and people in robes by the pool. I don't recall seeing anyone smoking in Serenity. There are a few areas you can smoke in, my sister is a smoker and she didn't get to smoke other than the casino and at the bar. I hope you enjoy your trip. I'm new to this board and really like the ?s.

Yeah, that would kinda gross me out.

Are you even allowed in a store with bare feet????????????????

How difficult is it to slip on a pair of flip flops???

I don't care if people run around in PJ's, but I can tell you that isn't for me. I feel horrible if I go out without make up....so it's rare I even do that.

Personally, no. I'm more of a boxer shorts kinda girl (there I go getting the guys all hot again ... picture it fellas ... striped boxer shorts and a vintage Buffalo Sabres jersey ...). Pants are for lounging, shorts are for sleeping.

Serenity was non-smoking on the two ships I was on that had it (Imagination and Inspiration).
