gtaylor Posted March 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2010 The weather will be fine in St. Maarten. Expect temp's in the low-mid 80's. Perhaps a little humid, but the constant trade winds help. The ocean temp is a different question, but will be fine for the girls. I love going in October, when the water temp can be in the mid 80's, but it starts dropping after that. We've been in January and still enjoyed the water, even if there is a bit of a shock first getting in. That said, everything depends on the current (and week previous) weather. We've seen water temps change by at least 5 degrees from just one day to the next. Bottom line, don't worry about it and just plan to enjoy it. gary
Berk987 Posted April 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2010 VIWAMI, Hi, I've seen you on the HAL postings. We're from Evanston and will be on the same ship w/you and your family. We're travelling with our 2 kids (age 4 and 6) and my sister's family (kids age 2 and 6). We're thinking of taking a private tour in both SJ and SM. If you're interesting in joining us (my sister and her family may not come on the tour) please contact me at bbevanston@hotmail.com and we can organize offline. Thanks.
