1st Princess Cruise - question about formal nights

I have sailed on Carnival, Holland and RCL before and while years ago I would wear a long gown I have evolved into very dressy black pants with a glitzy top in the last few years. And while some were dressed nicer than I was I didn't feel out of place. Will that be the case on my Princess cruise? I don't mind being a little under-dressed than some but I don't want to stick out either!

That choice of clothes sounds like it would be just fine for formal nights on Princess. Some will be more dressed up than you, a few will be less...

You will be fine. Some will be a little dressier, some will be less dressier.

I just wear a plain black skirt with a glitzy top. I don't feel dressy enough for Formal Night unless I wear a dress or skirt since men are Requested to wear a Tux or Black Suit. Princess Formal Night is definitely dressier then on Carnival, Princess is a classier cruise line. I have seen some very wide legged black pants in the stores, that when you wear them, it looks like a long skirt. However, don't worry, dress what you feel comfortable in, I'm sure you will look amazing.

Since I have foot and knee "issues" I can not wear high heels so I often were dressy black pants or a long black skirt with lacy/sparkly tops. You will fit right in!!!
