Do you tip for shore excursions booked through the ship?

I'm not sure why booking through the cruiseline would be different from booking independently (other than you're going to pay a alot more through the cruiseline). Unfortunately, that extra money goes in the cruiseline's pockets, not the operators.

I tip depending on the service. The ones who push for tips get less from me than the ones who do their jobs and don't stick a tip bucket in my face.

The operators on the ship excursions aren't cruiseline employees - they're independent contractors.
