When and which Sheraton?

We will be arriving at Heathrow from Dulles at 9:55 PM on a Sunday night in June. With Starwood points we can stay free at Sheratons. My question is should we plan to stay at the Sheraton Heathrow and go into London on Monday morning...or should we head straight into London Sunday night? How is the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel for location and ease of getting to Southampton on Wednesday morning?

We stayed in the Sheraton Belgravia last year and it was very nice! It is a little longer walking distance to some of the sights but we were still able to walk everywhere.

I've seen on-line that the Sheraton Belgravia closed at the end of December for a major renovation...no word on when it's expected to re-open. Too bad!

I would head straight into London on Sunday night.

We stayed at the Sheridan Park Lane for 3 nights, also using Starwood points.

 

We loved the hotel. The rooms are sort of old but have been renovated, but it has the look of an older hotel, something we really liked. Location wise, it was great. It is in walking distance from Buckingham Palace one way. anther way, is Piccadilly Circus. It is about 3-4 blocks from the Tube station which made getting anywhere else a breeze.

Thanks for your affirmations of my inclinations! I wanted some first-hand knowledge before making final arrangements...and now I can get to work with more confidence. :)
