There are people to unboard. I ship full of drunken travel industry members:D 2 days of free drinks and they like to sleep in. In fact they were late clearing the Pearl after a similar 2 nighter before her first crossing. They had to go cabin to cabin and wake people up. It was after noon when the first VIP passengers started boarding.

Cruise operators often use 'London' although it's docked in Southampton. Just as they use Calais for Paris etc.

For the record people Southampton is about 1 1/2 - 2 Hours from Southampton by car and about an hour and fifteen by train
