Cruisetour hotel room question: one or two beds?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I booked a cruise with my husband and my mom, and my mom and I will do the tour part by ourselves. I did not specify, while booking the cruisetour, that I wanted hotel rooms with two beds. Now it's been nagging at me that maybe I should. Those of you who took cruisetour with friends or relative (that it, NOT significant others): what do hotels normally do? Do they put you in a room with 2 beds unless you ask otherwise, or do they give you one bed unless you request 2?

Thanks for your help

Francesca

You should contact the hotel directly and request 2 queens.....most times, they will give you a room with 2 beds, but better safe than sorry!

While hubby and I prefer a room with 1 king, if I was traveling with my mom, if I couldn't have separate rooms, I'd want 2 beds!

Call the hotel!

You didn't say where you are traveling. In Europe you more than likely will not have the option for 2 queen beds.

You need to contact your travel agent or the cruise line if you booked directly. Do it now.

When I booked our cruisetour on HAL in Aug '07, I told the TA we wanted twin bed configuration on the ship, as well as the hotels on the cruisetour.

When we arrived, that's what they were. At the hotels, they were queen beds, but always two of them.
