Britiscruizin Posted June 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2010 We like to explore the ports on our own, with lots of pre-cruise planning. Can anyone give us a "circular" walk around Monte Carlo that will take in most of the sights? We don't mind walking but, don't want anything too strenuous as its going to be HOT!!! Many thanks.
Susan-M Posted June 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2010 We used Rick Steves guidebook for touring in this area. It contains a walking tour of Monaco-Ville. http://www.amazon.com/Rick-Steves-Provence-French-Riviera/dp/1598802887
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 4, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2010 Assuming you are docked at the pier and not tendering. Then when you get off the ship walk to the right and walk to the end of the pier. Then walk around on the left hand side. Eventually you will see an area to take you to the next level up. There are a number of attractions you can visit including the Palace, the Cathedral the nearby shops and the Oceanaire Museum. Then if you walk counter clockwise you can take what amounts to another 45 minute walk and go over to the Casino and to the other nearby stores and hotels. If you print off a map from the internet you can easily map out this route. Keith
