Feather pillows???

I can't sleep with foam pillows. Will I be able to ask our Room Steward to bring us some feather pillows? Princess had feather pillows available, but I learned the hard way that Carnival does not. I'm really hoping I don't have to pack my own feather pillow for the trip. If not, I'd be really tempted to take the Wal-mart shuttle in Ketchikan to buy a feather pillow and just leave it on the ship.

 

Also, are the room safes similar to what Carnival has? Do you just use any sort of card with a magnetic strip to lock and unlock it?

 

Can't believe that we fly up to Seattle in just 9 more days!

You will have a large selection of soft, medium or firm pillows. I doubt that are actually feather as HAL uses all non-allergenic bedding but they have that sort of consistency.

 

Most guests rave about HAL's mattresses and pillows.

Yes -- you can ask your cabin steward for feather pillows.

Lordy -- it has been a few years since we were on the Amsterdam but I do believe the safes are the ones where you use any magnetic card of your choice. I just use an old AAA card.

Feather pillows I got were quite small! (I know what you mean about foam shredded pillows.) I will be bringing my own feather pillow next time.

 

Our room safe let you select a series of four numbers to lock it.

AZ that safe sounds more like what I am used to on the other lines...not sure if I understand the swipe card type...so it is a digital safe with 4 numbers then? We will be on the Oosterdam.

Oosterdam definitely has room safes that open and close according to four digit number each guest selects for themselves.
