12 Night Arctic Circle Cruise - Constellation

Just wondering if anyone had taken this trip before, we are looking at it for next year. We really want to see the Fjords do you get an opportunity to do that? I can't seem to find a 'map' of the trip.

 

For views whilst cruising would you recomend port or starboard?

Forgot to ask we have the option of being on the Sky or Panorama decks both mid ship would anyone suggest one over the other and why? (Can't work out how to edit my last post... :confused:)

I've done that cruise, but on Crystal. It's a fantastic, and very popular cruise. As to location of your cabin, it doesn't make a difference because you'll want to be out on an open deck rather than just on your balcony. If you can get an aft cabin, go for one of those, as you get great views.

Did that one 2 years ago on CENTURY.. it was, in a word : FABULOUS !!!

Superb scenery. Connie's replica for July 21 is even better than the one we did on Century: better ports.

As to which side: does not matter at all; you go up and down, in and out.

What you '' miss in the a.m, you catch in the evening ( hardly gets dark at all the further north you sail , to/from ). Likewise while at sea: first part of the cruise, you sail north, second part, you sail south.

Deck 8 is better in my opinion, further down from the pool deck, closer to the vertical mid-ship position, and nothing but staterooms under on #7 & #6.

Go for it, you'll love it !!!

We are torn between this one and a 12 Night Norwegian Fjords Cruise on the same ship. The Fjords are what we really want to see, would you say that you saw them quite a bit on the route you did?

Just returned recently from the Artic Cruise on Constellation (June 21). The ports were wonderful! You not only get to see "fjord" beauties like Geiranger but also cross the Artic Circle up to Tromso and Honningsvag. These were great ports and you will get to experience the midnight sun.

Thanks :D now really torn between the 2 options - Arctic Cruise or Fjords both 12 days and £60 difference in price so that is not swaying our decision :confused:
