lakesidegirl11 Posted August 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2010 I have brought my own bottled water on previous cruises. Is this still allowed?
wxjcupo Posted August 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2010 I have brought my own bottled water on previous cruises. Is this still allowed? I have taken sodas and bottled water aboard without them ever being confiscated.
Stags14 Posted August 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2010 It is not allowed but it's absolutely possible.
SpeedGeek Posted August 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2010 Emailed them to get clarification and got this response: "Royal Caribbean International prohibits food or beverages from being brought onboard. However, guests may have one bottle of water as a carry-on while checking in. Guests must have purchased the bottle of water for personal consumption while traveling to the port and be in the process of consuming it." So they're apparently being picky about it. Though from stories on here, it all depends on what ship you end up on as to if you get busted or not.
marym933 Posted August 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2010 Just back from the Monarch of the Seas today. I took 2 16.9 oz. bottles of water in my carry-on. Nothing was said about it.
rknelson3 Posted August 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 3, 2010 We checked a case of water bottles in with our luggage on Oasis of the Seas in March. We just pasted a luggage take on the wrapper of the water. It was delivered to our cabin with the rest of our luggage- no problems. We didn't know if it would be allowed, but figured for the cost of a case of water at Walgreens ($4) it was worth a try!

You were lucky - ours never made it to our cabin on Oasis last week :(
Mustsea Posted August 3, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 3, 2010 We carry two 2.5 gallon containers of purified water onboard (I'm a big H2O drinker). Never any questions or comments.
