We traveled by car from Amarillo on Friday. We went to Austin to pick ip my daughter and son in law. We drove to Galveston on Saturday arriving about 3 pm. We had a room at the Best Western on the Seawall. I used points from work so room was free. Hotel was clean but the beds were small. I believe it $175.00 per night normally. We had a few drinks and cruised around Galveston. We ate dinner at The Spot. Pretty good burgers. Great view of the gulf. We went back to hotel. Nicole and I went fir a walk on the Beach and it was very nice.

We got up on Sunday had some coffee and breakfast. Around 10am we called Jeffs taxi and they were there in about 10 minutes. They took us over to the pier.

The embark went pretty smooth. Someone who works for Carnival said we would get VIP boarding if we danced with her for awhile. So many of is did.

She lied. LOL

We went thru process smoothly and were on board by 11:30. DOD by 11:35.

Off we go to check out the ship.

Have to drive home fro Austin today so I will add pictures and continue this review from home later today.

Welcome back.

Did the second bottle of Capatin Morgans make it on the ship?

Looking forward to your review and pics.

We were allowed in our rooms around 1:30. There we met our room steward Javier and his assistant Wayan. They were awesome and remembered our names from the very first meeting. Always "Hello Mr Daniel" or Hello Ms Nicole. Very nice guys and took very good care of our room. Our shower was not draining properly and I told Javier about it and within 10 minutes maintanance was there fixing it. Problem solved!!

So now off to MDR where we met Olivia and Christian. Olivia, our Head Team waiter and Christian was her assistant. I have never gotten better service. These two worked very well together and they too remembered our names from day one. Not a small task when we found out they had 21 tables to wait on!!

These 4 people made our cruising awesome. They busted their butts to make sure we were happy and satisfied!! Christian was getting very excited tho. He only has 3 more cruises before he gets a vacation at home. 7 months away from his home. 10 years he has been doing this!! Olivia been at it for 17 years.

I just want to put in perspective how hard these people work to make our vacations so wonderful!!

I have food porn pictures to post as soon as I get home. Prepare to drool!!!

I will continue when I get home and can post pictures of the food. I also want to show pictures from the welcome aboard show as my son in law got chosen to participate in it. Funny funny stuff!!!!
