KandCsailing Posted August 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2010 DH and I come back from a cruise from Tampa the same day as a Tampa Bay Devil Rays Baseball Game and I'm struggling to figure out if there is public transit available or how much a cab would be since the stadium is in St. Petersburg. Should I just rent a car?
Capt_BJ Posted August 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2010 I'd recommend renting the car . . .

Should I just rent a car? You may not be aware of this, but they changed their name several years back. They are now called the Tampa Bay Rays. It seems some people found the word "Devil" offensive. Just a handy tip. I work for their minor league affiliate..
bludevil Posted August 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2010 There is quite a distance between the two venues (about 25 miles). Taxis will run you at least $50-$75 each way. GO RAYS! (No Devil :) )

KandCsailing Posted August 15, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted August 15, 2010 Thanks for the replies. We were looking at the Sunday afternoon game on Sept. 19th. It doesn't look like it's on the bus listing above. Sorry about using the old name, but it came up on Google that way also and I copy/pasted the wrong one. Never thought of anyone being offended by the name since the fish had it first. I guess I thought that they were like our Toronto Blue Jays who just use the Jays part on their logos.
